WHO WE ARE
Leicestershire County Council supports opportunities to collaborate, test new services and resolve challenges to growth across the creative sector through its Creative Leicestershire service and the WebinArt programme. These programmes provide access to a range of advice and support helping creative enterprises survive and grow and are a vital catalyst connecting people through networking opportunities, strengthening supply chains and retaining knowledge.

Catherine currently manages Creative Leicestershire which supports artists and creative enterprises in Leicestershire and Rutland. She created WebinArt as its flagship professional development programme and aims to share its best practices more widely as the programme develops. Recently stepping down from her role as Chair of Trustees for Junction Arts, she is a Co-director of Haarlem Artspace in Derbyshire, a member of the British Council’s UK Creative Hubs Advisory Board and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

Sam works part time looking after the newsletter, social media and email enquiries for Creative Leicestershire. She has a Visual Communication degree in Graphic Design, over 15 years experience in media, arts and health and galleries and was the Cultural Arts Officer for Melton for 10 years. She also runs a small arts business – ‘Electric Kitty’, where she teaches creative therapies and is enjoys making contemporary collages. Instagram - _electric_kitty
