WHO WE ARE
Leicestershire County Council supports opportunities to collaborate, test new services and resolve challenges to growth across the creative sector through its Creative Leicestershire service and the WebinArt programme. These programmes provide access to a range of advice and support helping creative enterprises survive and grow and are a vital catalyst connecting people through networking opportunities, strengthening supply chains and retaining knowledge.

Catherine currently manages Creative Leicestershire which supports artists and creative enterprises in Leicestershire and Rutland. She created WebinArt as its flagship professional development programme and aims to share its best practices more widely as the programme develops. Recently stepping down from her role as Chair of Trustees for Junction Arts, she is a Co-director of Haarlem Artspace in Derbyshire, a member of the British Council’s UK Creative Hubs Advisory Board and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

Sam looks after the newsletter, social media and emails for Creative Leicestershire. She has a Visual Communication degree in Graphic Design, 15 years experience in media, arts and health and galleries and was the Cultural Arts Officer for Melton. She also runs a small arts business – ‘Electric Kitty’, teaches art part time and is training to be a children’s yoga teacher.

Dan and his team at Colab creation tell stories in a visual, engaging and beautiful way through video. Built on the values of being collaborative, inventive and passionate, these values are shared throughout Webinart culture, where the team are passionate to create engaging and inspirational video content to share the knowledge of our expert artists to the programme members and the world.

Cath coordinates the WebinArt programme and the Creative Leicestershire website. She’s dedicated to supporting WebinArt members, ensuring everyone gets the most out of the programme. Her background in Fine Art and Museum + Gallery Studies and she has worked in Curatorial Research for National Arts Organisations. She is also a handpoke tattoo apprentice.

Ruth is the consultant for the 'Establish' peer mentoring area of the WebinArt Programme. An established professional textile artist, she combines her creative practice and project development experience, specialising in creating arts projects and running training, professional development and mentoring activities with partners including heritage and community organisations, universities and galleries.
