I have been working as a knitwear designer for 7 years, self-publishing my patterns and working on commissions for knitting magazines. Before this, I was a Biology teacher, and before that a Biochemist. Attention to detail links all these activities.
I love teaching, and teach everyone from beginners to experienced knitters and crocheters. I also run stitching for well-being sessions for people with brain injuries at Headway, Nottingham and a Knit & Knatter group for student nurses and midwives at QMC.
My first book, Fair Isle Knitting and Design, is due to be published next month.
