The University of Leicester’s Attenborough Arts Centre prides itself on being accessible and inclusive. We want everyone to feel welcome and get involved in what we do. With over 18 years of experience, our programme offers performance, courses and workshops, contemporary art exhibitions, activities for children and families, and more. We are proud to champion emerging talent and disability-led artists, supporting those starting their careers.
I run creative one day workshops at different venues across the East Midlands. My workshops are about enabling the creative process, about slowing down and unfurling to find your own visual language and self expression. They focus on simple drawing, mixed media, sketchbooks and design for textiles.
Ceramics workshops are great for anyone looking to learn a new skill whilst creating something beautiful and unique. Whether there's a specific item you wish to make or simply just to have a play and explore the world of clay, I have a range of workshops available designed around you.
Leicestershire Craft Centre delivers the widest range of art & craft courses in the region. We teach here at the centre, visit schools, businesses and other organisations, run parties and attend craft events.
Sock Gallery is an exciting exhibition space within the foyer area of Loughborough Town Hall. Sock Gallery hosts a range of inspiring and thought-provoking exhibitions throughout the year, together with artist demonstrations and "meet the artist" events.
Here at The Refectory Table we take a personal approach to workshops and courses. Our workshops are run in small groups in interesting and relaxed places where it’s easy to learn and think creatively – add in superb delivery and good food shared with like-minded people at a large table and you have a memorable and long lasting experience.
Visitors to the Gallery will often see artists and designers offering tuition in workshop sessions taking place in Artshed@Wistow - our gallery annexe. We offer a packed and exciting programme of art and craft workshops which runs throughout the year, so why not learn a new skill or technique under expert guidance?
