'Animating Leicestershire Towns' project coming to Loughborough this January

As part of the 'Animating Leicestershire Towns' project, funded by Creative Leicestershire and Arts Council England, local artists Miffy Ryan and Jacqui Gallon have been commissioned for a week of creative activities this January in Loughborough.

Their project titled 'Being Wild Art' will be based in the market place and will focus on the rich history of the market, a place of community, history, commerce, and sensory stimulation.

The market comes and goes, it is a cycle of setting up and taking down. The market leaves behind traces and remnants in the form of packaging, come and help us make these leftover objects into something beautiful and fun … into an artwork that can grow and change and expand into the marketplace.

This is a participatory activity for all ages and abilities, and Miffy and Jacqui look forward to meeting you and sharing creativity and ideas. Their activities will run from Monday 15th - Saturday 20th January 2024.
